STEM role model training – Jan. 14

I am happy to share with you this great lunch and learn event that will give classroom volunteers the tools they need to inspire students towards STEM careers. Please sign up for the Tools for STEM Role Model Success, Brown Bag” by Tricia Berry, Director of Women in Engineering Program (WEP) at University of Texas at Austin and Texas Girls Collaborative Project (TxGCP).  The event will be held at the Metroplex Technology Business Council, January 14th, 2015 11:30am to 1:00pm.

What is a STEM Role Model?

STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) professionals are creative problem solvers essential to our inspiring the future workforce. Explore how to describe your STEM career and lead hands-on activities in a way that excites kids, college students, and the public about technology careers. Participants will learn the “Recipe for Role Model Success” and fabulous in-person and online resources to engage as a STEMfire role model in our North Texas classrooms.
