ASIS GSX 2023 Show Report

By Kelly Stark

September 12, 2023

This year’s ASIS GSX 2023 was nothing short of remarkable. With a keynote by Former President Bush, the event was filled with insights about the imminent future of security technology. From AI and robotics to facial recognition and drones, attendees were treated to a glimpse of what’s next in security and surveillance.

Highlights from the Show:

GSX 2023 Cell Gate

Award Winners

A big applause goes to Cell Gate Access Control for clinching the GSX 2023 Best Access Control System Award for its innovation and dedication to excellence that keeps pushing the boundaries of what’s possible.

Spotlight on Robots

The future of security is undoubtedly robotic. Our visit began at the Kabam.ai booth, showcasing the inspection and security robots that bagged the 2023 Best in Unmanned Drones & Robots for Security award at ISC West. From there, we saw a proliferation of robots in booths, including at ADT commercial. Robots are poised to redefine security across various sectors, from education and hospitality to healthcare and commercial spaces.

GSX 2023 Trilogy NextGen

Connectivity is Key

No robot or AI surveillance camera can function efficiently without solid connectivity. Enter Trilogy NextGen. Their debut at GSX was marked by their offering of reliable and secure network solutions. They harness the power of private LTE/5G, Wi-Fi, and ATSC 3.0 technologies to ensure seamless operations.

Anti-Drone Solutions

Dedrone made waves with its counter-drone defense mechanism. Their “drone gun jammer” wasn’t just impressive; it was also a crowd favorite for photo ops. And there’s buzz about a video game version in the pipeline.

GSX 2023 AccessNsite

Innovative Access Solutions

AccessNsite stood out with their ingenious access control solution tailored to unique client requirements. Imagine visiting football teams on university campuses using facial recognition instead of traditional access cards. With AccessNsite’s solution, users can simply upload selfies of individuals needing access, then revoke that access post-event. Its heightened accuracy and integrated sensors make it a secure alternative to traditional methods.

To make the event even more memorable, I had the pleasure of attending with my colleagues, Dyanne Williamson and Micki Jones. Witnessing the innovative solutions firsthand reinforced our belief in a safer future, thanks to these pioneering companies.

Here’s to a safer and more technologically advanced tomorrow!
