RFID Journal Live! 2013 Show Report

RFID Journal Live! 2013 had a great showing this year, surpassing last year’s show in attendance by 15% with over 2,700 attendees. We saw a lot of new and exciting products, with many system integrators and end customers showcasing their latest applications of RFID technology.

RFID Journal Live! 2013 was an excellent way for Forward Vision Marketing to make an entrance and meet with the who’s who in the RFID industry under one roof. At the show, we were busy supporting our client Convergence Systems Limited, creating a lot of buzz around their new battery assisted passive temperature sensing tag. CSL’s cold chain tracking application bubbling in dry ice demonstrated a simple and cost-effective cold chain application to expand systems integrators capabilities.

There were a lot of great success stories this year. One of the best case studies was presented by Rick Lewis from Delta Airlines, describing how he’d found the perfect solution by working with William Frick & Company to develop a creative tagging application for hard-to-access oxygen generators in airplanes. Rick pointed out that RFID has many growth opportunities like that in the airline industry and that solution providers haven’t fully commercialized their products, yet.

rfid journal live! 2013One of our show highlights was getting to spend time with our client RFID Global Solution at The Black Crowes concert. We don’t know where Diana Hage, CEO of RFIDGS, gets her energy after spending much of the show at speaking events, sharing best practices in IT Asset Tracking – party at House of Blues – and then back to work with customer meetings at midnight. There’s no doubt about the dedication of the entire RFID GS team to their clients business. Quinn Solum from the Social Security Administration pointed out in his speech how hard RFIDGS had worked with him to enable faster and more accurate IT Asset tracking at the SSA by integrating the Visi-Trac RFID asset management system.

Overall, we found that many companies had a lot of new products and exciting news to share. The interest in our services was very strong, having Forward Vision Marketing help spread the good news with technology PR, website development, search engine awareness, sales campaigns, and and many other B2B marketing services, we’re looking forward to a successful year for everyone!
